Every company requires a website and, over time, every website needs a revamp, so there is a high demand for good web developers. In this program, you will acquire skills to design and program customer-facing interactive websites using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

admission requirements
language skills
International students must demonstrate an upper-intermediate level of English through the online test and an interview.
CEFR B2, IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 46, Cambridge FCE(C) certification will waive the online test and interview.
education
Applicants from Toronto must submit a copy of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or have obtained a cut-off score of 16 on the Wonderlic Academic Level Test.

program outcomes
You will develop a solid foundation of skills in HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web development. In addition, you will create well-structured, semantic markup with accessibility and search engine optimization (SEO) in mind.
You’ll create custom WordPress themes from scratch, mastering template tags and hierarchies, content types, taxonomies and custom fields, plugin development, sidebar widgets and more.
You will learn how to use the Sass CSS preprocessor, apply CSS best practices to generate scalable CSS code, expand your jQuery and JavaScript skills, interact with popular JSON-based web APIs via Ajax, and use the latest versions of JavaScript.
You will learn how to use JavaScript task automation tools to improve and streamline your web development workflow.
You will learn about object-oriented programming, best practices for writing modern PHP and understanding the server-side programming language (and how it differs from JavaScript).
You will master version control using Git from the command line and share your open source projects on GitHub.
