School of Hospitality & Tourism

A program designed for international students who wish to acquire social skills and knowledge specific to the international or Canadian work field. They will develop skills in customer service, hospitality and tourism, which will enable them to enter mid-level positions in a variety of work environments, such as hotels, motels, resorts, restaurants, convention centers and cruise ships.

The following program modalities have been approved by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Postsecondary Education and Future Skills.

Co-op Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality (48 weeks)
Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality with Communication (39 weeks)

Courses are available in Toronto, Whistler and Vancouver.

Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 14:15.

Friday from 9:00 to 12:00

admission requirements

minimum age

18 years old

education

Toronto applicants must provide a copy of their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or have passed the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam with a minimum score of 16. If you are interested in taking the Wonderlic exam, please contact us.


language skills

International students must demonstrate an upper-intermediate level of English through the online test and an interview. CEFR B1, IELTS 5, TOEFL iBT 35, Cambridge PET certification will waive the online test and interview.


communication programs

Language Skills: International students must demonstrate an intermediate level of English through the online test and an interview. However, if you present an IELTS 4.0 or higher, TOEFL ibT 31, CEFR B1 or Cambridge PET (Merit) certification you can waive these.

Have successfully completed three consecutive years of full-time secondary and/or post-secondary education in a country where English is the primary language.

We accept English education from countries such as Canada, USA, US Virgin Islands, UK, New Zealand, Australia, Tanzania, Ireland, Singapore, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Jamaica and the Philippines.

Graduates of this program will be prepared for a variety of employment positions such as:

  • Hotel receptionist: They will be able to work at the front desk of hotels, in charge of serving guests, managing reservations and providing information about available services.
  • Travel agent: They will be able to work in travel agencies, advising clients on destinations, itineraries and accommodation options, and helping them plan their trips.
  • Restaurant waiter/waitress: They will be able to work as waiters/waitresses in restaurants and gastronomic establishments, offering friendly and professional service to diners.
  • Event coordinator: They will be prepared to organize and coordinate special events, such as conferences, weddings or conventions, ensuring that everything is planned and executed efficiently.
  • Cruise Ship Crewmember: They will have the opportunity to work on cruise ships, performing functions related to customer service, organizing onboard activities and managing food and beverage services.
