Music is truly a universal language because it’s a way that we connect with others. And sometimes learning English the traditional way gets boring, it’s not a bad idea to listen to a few songs with the purpose of learning a language.

The perfect song to remind you that you are amazing just the way you are. This is a catchy and romantic song with no difficult phrases, which is ideal for English beginners. 

2.          We Are Young – Fun ft Janelle Monáe

It’s a popular song of 2012 by the New York band called ‘’Fun”. They start singing the song slowly and repeat some phrases that makes it easier for you to learn and catch up with them. Also, this serves as a reminder that you are still young! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to learn everything in one day!

3.          Shut Up and Dance – WALK THE MOON

You will have this song on repeat! This dance anthem has a catchy chorus that will stay stuck in your head for days.

4.          About that Bass – Meghan Trainor

I can’t leave this iconic 2014 song that launched Meghan’s career. The song has catchy phrases, and you will be able to add new words to your vocabulary. Also, it has a powerful match for young women. 

5.          Somebody to love – Queen

The song is energetic and makes you want to dance. However, I would recommend you listen first to the version of the movie Enchanted covered by Anne Hathaway; it’s an easier version. Listen to and practice with the original song once you’ve gained more confidence with the language.

If I am honest, I listed these songs because I love to sing them in the car on my way to work. But, they are so catchy that I believe you will want to learn the words so you can sing along in no time.
